YOUNG GUNS PART 2

Ok so lets pick up where we left off... We put Jacob's buck on the ground Sat. morning and get it back to town by 11 and caped out by noon. I had that afternoon and the following day to help get after it before I had to be on the road. Laree got back from picking up her homecoming queen dress and quickly got into her camo for a quick evening hunt. That evening we came up on two muley bucks and one of them was a great desert buck a 4x4 in the mid to upper 160's. We put a quick stalk on and got within a hundred yards but with the flat terrain and swirling winds the bucks slipped us before Laree could get a shot. The next morning Kyle joined us and we went out to an area that he seen a big buck in the year prior. We got out and it was a really slow morning. Mid morning after it got really warm I went back to the jeeps to get a water and as I was getting back to my glass I seen Kyle signaling me that he found a good buck. We went over to him and seen that he was a nice looking low 90's type deer. We bedded them up and we dove into the deep canyons after him. We snuck into position and the bedded bucks were only 180 yards away so we got Laree on the gun claw and waited them out. Four hours later they got up to feed and camera was rolling again to document more fun. After a couple of silly moments Laree got a couple of shots off but missed high. The bucks moved towards the top off the ridge (Thank God!! haha) and he stopped one last time and Laree hammered him. After a long hot sweaty day we were thankful once again! Larees buck scored 93 6/8 and capped off a great time with great memories with family. Great jobs kiddos Im very proud of the two of you!!!
